Canada desperately needs your help raising awareness of Bill C-11 (our version of SOPA)!

The Conservative Party is trying to push Bill C-11 through parliament quickly and quietly, unlike SOPA in the United States we won’t have the benefit of major websites like Google and Wikipedia going dark to raise awareness of it. This is something they have been trying to pass for years but haven’t been able to with only a minority government (that should tell you something about the bill right there), after winning a majority government in the last election the Conservative Party now has nothing standing in their way. A great summary of Bill C-11 and why it matters can be found at:  http://www.michaelgeist.ca/content/view/6257/125/

I strongly believe that Reddit played an incredible roll in raising the awareness needed that ultimately led to the defeat of SOPA in the United Sates. As a Canadian citizen who cares deeply about the Internet and our rights online, I ask you to please help us in doing the same for Bill C-11.

Perhaps there are none more lazy, or more truly ignorant, than your everlasting readers.
